I would highly recommend Vickie or any of the other Reactors that work there (I am familiar with most of them) because they will work hard for you to insure your satisfaction. If I could I'd give this company -10000. We're from NY state and bought our home from a listing on MLS with listing agent as JEAN KENNEDY SHIVER We came down for a week looking for homes and found what we thought was a perfect home. We looked at it and it was absolutely beautiful...it was professional staged, which is no problem except when staging is used to cover pertinent flaws.( After researching the listing agent I found that she has a certification in staging.) I did have a house inspection done by a certified home inspector and also a termite inspection. There were no issues. So even though I offered 12,000 less than the listing price they accepted the offer which was a cash sale and 15 day closing. And I accepted it as an as is sale since the inspections showed no issues. Between the totally unethical actions of Jean Kennedy Shiver and the sellers Charlie and Shelly McBurnett I was totally taken to the cleaners and the home was misrepresented, I walked into my new home 1/2 after closing to a filthy disgusting home with dog feces, urine and vomit on my carpets, the home was covered in filth from the disgusting fridge to the absolutely disgusting bathrooms. It took me five hours alone to scrub the master shower. They broke two large windows in the front of the house, took EVERY landscaping rock on the property, removed the storage shed, left garbage all over the property, cut the electricity before the closing, lied about the condition of the pool knowing full well the foremost reason I purchased the home here in the south was because I have MS & RSD and my neurologist recommended getting away from the cold climate, getting a pool as hydrotherapy which would bring up my quality of life, only to find out that the liner of the pool leaks and will cost 4000 to fix. We were made aware that the lining is older and will need to be replaced at the cost of 1200 within 12 to 24 months and $1200.00 wasn't a deal breaker BUT both the agent JEAN KENNEDY SHIVER and owners CHARLIE AND SHELLY MCBURNETT knew the pool needed an immediate liner replacement and didn't disclose that. JEAN KENNEDY SHIVER knew the owners have their own pool business and didn't disclose the true conditions of the pool and equipment (which when we moved in they took every piece of equipment and the pool was green, not a pellet of chlorine was left ). PLUS CHARLIE AND SHELLY MCBURNETT LIED ON THE IRS FORM, THAT STATES NO BUSINESSES WERE RUN FROM THE PROPERTY AS THEY HAD TWO BUSINESSES RUN FROM THE HOME. CHARLIE POOL SERVICES AND C & S LANDSCAPING. JEAN KENNEDY SHIVER said in the listing, per batum, patio overlooking glistening pool, a blatant lie and misrepresentation. We notified JEAN KENNEDY SHIVER immediately upon walking into the home 1/2 hour after closing to be ignored completely...even after several attempts. As the previous owners CHARLIE AND SHELLY MCBURNETT were moving two of my new neighbours called her and told her they, CHARLES AND SHELLY MCBURNETT and their crew were taking all the landscaping and shed and she did absolutely nothing about it totally ignoring those calls too. I did buy the home as is but that is exactly it...as is not what they left it. I have gotten no help nor empathy from REMAX of ALBANY, JEAN KENNEDY SHIVER only a letter that denies any allegations of unethical practice. Please for your sake, the sake of your wallet, your physical and mental state...DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE OR THIS COMPANY TO BUY YOUR HOME. YOU WILL BE SO SO SORRY!!! THEY ARE UNETHICAL, will stage a property to look so beautiful only to find, the staging was done with the intentions of covering up pertinent flaws. I am so disgusted at the lack of ethics and honesty that this company has.
I had a great experience with RE/MAX. The realtors and staff are very professional and made me feel very welcomed. I would definitely recommend RE/MAX if you are looking to buy or sell a home.
