Expensive, worth it. Food tasted great. Great service. There was a band. Ambiance calm and warm. It is in a strip mall. The inside is decorated beautifully. It had hard wood floors. It did not have the feel of a strip mall restaurant at all.
They do indeed know how to cook a steak here. Pricy, but service has been excellent for every visit. Atmosphere is very nice- one of the best in Albany.
We went to Henry Campbell's on a Monday night for a romantic celebration with my Husband. The atmosphere was great but the sevice was terrible. The restaurant was not crowded but we waited an hour for our meal to be served. When our food came out all of it was room temperature with the exception of my creamed spinach which was very cold (cheese was hard)!! When we were leaving, I asked another couple at a different table whether there food was hot, they replied "you mean in a good way, yes!" I replied that ours was cold to room temperature, the woman replied, "they don't want you here." The couple was cool and suggested that next time we need to come with them to get the VIP treatment. Oh well, in southwest GA, we are still the WRONG color apparently!
I have been here all my life and I have never been there. I must say it was a experience and I loved it. Especially the four course meal
Nice ambience. The food presentation was good. Service was good. My friend and I ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer and it was very tasty. We both ordered the Ribeye (med well) as our entrees. Mine was cooked perfectly, his was rare. Even after sending it back it returned Med Rare. The chef was very heavy handed on the black pepper; my steak would have been better with a little less of it. I ended up sending my risotto back because of the spiciness. The mashed potatoes I ordered in place of the risotto were very good. I probably won't return for dinner but may return for drinks and appetizers at the bar.
